MrGreenTeez is a company that understands the need for sustainability in our crazy world. Although we don't agree with a lot of the "green" labels that everyone seems to be so intrigued with, there is certainly a need for a more common sense approach to the world of advertising and marketing with t-shirts. We also understand that just because someone says that there product is "green" or eco-friendly, there is a whole lot more to the big picture.
When someone talks about the concept of the "green" movement, they often forget about how their products got to their retail store or their doorstep. The amount of time that it takes to move goods and services around the globe today is remarkable. And that in itself is not the worst thing in the world because of the economies of scale that are achieved, but we need to certainly think about buying more of our products that we consume on a more local level.
We are all guilty of hypocricy in some way, shape or form, whether it's buying local produce or the latest recycled fad to make us feel better about ourselves and our planet. The reality is that it's easier and takes less time to stop at the super market and get everything that we need in one trip rather than driving or biking from the local produce stand to the farm just outside of town to purchase our grass fed beef. While in a perfect world this sounds great, it can also be quite expensive to maintain the lifestyle that a lot of us would like.
So what's with the "green" lesson and what about the t-shirts?
